Photos: Ogun state politician allegedly batters wife

Just got this mail from an NGO that deals with domestic violence cases. According to their story, the woman above is the wife of an Ogun-state politician named Bashorun Bayo Awosanya. He allegedly attacked her at their residence in Sagamu on Easter Sunday April 20th around 8.30pm after an argument. The lady was saved by their gateman who heard her cries for help from his station.

She's currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Sagamu. Her people figured it won't hurt for people to see what the man did, so they sent the pics to the press. This madness has got to stop! You have to be the lowest of the lowest scum to hit a woman so bad she lands in the hospital. Continue to see more photos...

End SARS protest: Police deployed to Lekki toll gate [PHOTOS]

The Police have dispatched teams of operatives along the Lekki corridor ahead of Saturday’s End SARS protest at the toll gate. The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command confirmed the deployment. “CSP Yinka Egbeyemi is presently leading a team of police officers on a show of force to Lekki Toll Gate (Admiralty Plaza) Obalende, Ikoyi, Jakande Roundabout, and other areas in Eti Osa”, RRS tweeted Friday night. The Police department said this was “part of efforts to deter crime as well as boost the morale of his officers in the areas”. Two opposing camps – #OccupyLekkiTollGate and #DefendLagos – are planning separate protests on Saturday. This commenced after majority of the 9-member Lagos Panel of Inquiry approved the reopening of the toll plaza. The chairman, Justice Doris Okuwobi and four others ruled in favour of another application by the Lekki Concession Company (LCC). Others were DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Police), Lucas Koyejo (National Human Rights Commission), Segun ...

8 Scariest Abandoned Ghost Towns in the World

Recently, there’s been an uptick in tourism, which involves visiting abandoned villages and towns. For one, to get properly spooked, and two — to take fantastic, creepy photos, of course. And so, if you are ready to feel the ghostly chill, here are the 8 scariest abandoned towns in the world. 1. Craco ,  Italy This small town in southern Italy was founded in the 8th century. In its glory days, the town had about 1,500 people living there, but since the early 1960s, they have gradually left their homes. In 1963, the citizens were evacuated due to a landslide. Ten years later, there was a flood, then a series of earthquakes, and probably some locust swarms. No one has lived in Craco since the 1980s, but the tourists are visiting the town all the time just to see the statue of the Virgin Mary that somehow still remains untouched by the disasters. 2. Terlingua, Texas The population of Terlingua went from 3,000 people in 1903 to only 58 in 2010. The town started as a cinnabar mining col...
