Six passengers, drive kidnapped in Osun

Six passengers and the driver of a Toyota Sienna bus were on Monday, kidnapped along Ilesa-Akure expressway.

Three persons have escaped from the abductor, DAILY POST gathered.

It was gathered that around 7:pm, some gunmen emerged from bush opened fire and flattened the tire of the Toyota Sienna bus with registration number ABJ 635 DC along Ilesa/Akure expressway by Iwaraja forest.

The freed three persons said that their abductors are Fulani bandits.

Confirming the news, the spokesperson of Osun State Police command, Yemisi Opalola told DAILY POST that Police, in conjunction with the local hunters and Vigilante groups have launched manhunt on the kidnappers.

She said “intensive manhunt underway by police and local hunters/vigilantes to rescue victims and arrest suspects.”
