Bubbly Champagne & Inspiring Photography! Toyosi Faridah Kekere-Ekun Unveils her “Induction” Photo Exhibition in Lagos

Toyosi Kekere-Ekun Induction Exhibition - BellaNaija - February2014010
On Saturday 22nd February 2014, breakthrough photographer Toyosi Faridah Kekere-Ekun debuted her photography collection titled “Induction” at its opening night at the Omenka Gallery, Lagos.
The collection had stylish art and photography buffs in attendance. The collection chronicles a turbulent time in the life of the artist, having to deal with death, heartbreak, introspective explorations of faith and the world around her, growing pains; breaking from the chrysalis of innocence and transitioning to reality and adulthood.
Guests at the opening night were served with Laurent Perrier champagne, key sponsors of the event.
The exhibition which is open to all, (and will open windows of reflection, for those who have made a similar emotional passage as the artist and perhaps a reluctant appreciation for those who haven’t) is scheduled to hold for 2 weeks at the same venue till Friday 7th March 2014.

End SARS protest: Police deployed to Lekki toll gate [PHOTOS]

The Police have dispatched teams of operatives along the Lekki corridor ahead of Saturday’s End SARS protest at the toll gate. The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command confirmed the deployment. “CSP Yinka Egbeyemi is presently leading a team of police officers on a show of force to Lekki Toll Gate (Admiralty Plaza) Obalende, Ikoyi, Jakande Roundabout, and other areas in Eti Osa”, RRS tweeted Friday night. The Police department said this was “part of efforts to deter crime as well as boost the morale of his officers in the areas”. Two opposing camps – #OccupyLekkiTollGate and #DefendLagos – are planning separate protests on Saturday. This commenced after majority of the 9-member Lagos Panel of Inquiry approved the reopening of the toll plaza. The chairman, Justice Doris Okuwobi and four others ruled in favour of another application by the Lekki Concession Company (LCC). Others were DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Police), Lucas Koyejo (National Human Rights Commission), Segun ...
