In 2008, 22-year-old Natalie Dylan received a bid of $3.7 million (N606million) after auctioning her virginity through Moonlite Bunny Ranch to fund her master’s degree. She publicized her auction on The Howard Stern Show.

In 2009, 18-year-old Alina Percea from Romania auctioned her virginity so that she could afford to pay for her computing degree. She received £8,800 (N2.2million) from an Italian man. The 45-year-old man who won paid for her to fly to Venice where the couple toured the sights before spending a night in a luxury hotel. Alina, who underwent two medical examinations to prove her virginity, said:
‘I liked the man and got on with him well. He didn’t look 45, and he seemed much younger. I enjoyed it.”

In 2010, a poor New Zealand student, who was only known by her pseudonym “Unigirl,” successfully auctioned her virginity to help pay for her university fees. After receiving 1,200 bids on her purity, Unigirl accepted an offer for $32,000 (N5.2million) which she said was “way beyond what I dreamed.” She was also grateful for the more than 30,000 men who took interest in her ad.

In 2012, 20-year-old Brazilian student Catarina Migliorini sold her virginity for a staggering $780,000 – (N127million) after she put it up for auction online. A man called Natsu, from Japan, fended off strong competition from two American bidders, and an Indian big-spender, to secure a date with the 20-year-old student. Catarina insists she is not a prostitute and that she is only doing this to make a positive impact on the world by raising money to build homes for poverty-stricken families in her hometown.

End SARS protest: Police deployed to Lekki toll gate [PHOTOS]

The Police have dispatched teams of operatives along the Lekki corridor ahead of Saturday’s End SARS protest at the toll gate. The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command confirmed the deployment. “CSP Yinka Egbeyemi is presently leading a team of police officers on a show of force to Lekki Toll Gate (Admiralty Plaza) Obalende, Ikoyi, Jakande Roundabout, and other areas in Eti Osa”, RRS tweeted Friday night. The Police department said this was “part of efforts to deter crime as well as boost the morale of his officers in the areas”. Two opposing camps – #OccupyLekkiTollGate and #DefendLagos – are planning separate protests on Saturday. This commenced after majority of the 9-member Lagos Panel of Inquiry approved the reopening of the toll plaza. Veteran Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu popularly known as El Cream, is dead. His wife, Jennifer Asuzu, who confirmed the sad incident, said he fainted on Tuesday evening and never woke up. Asuzu, who hailed from Imo, grew up in Lagos. In the late 90s he was into music and was a rapper, producer, director, and a television personality. He became more popular after featuring in a number of movies including “RITUALS” a movie that was produced by Kenneth Nnebue. The deceased acted in more than 100 movies since he joined the Nigerian movie industry.
