Photos: Woman Raped to Death on Her Way To A Night Vigil In Benin (VDA)

This is so so unfortunate! This past weekend, the residents of Upper Adesuwa in Benin City, Edo State were shocked beyond words, as they woke up to the corpse of a middle-aged woman identified as Ms Deborah Bassey who is alleged to have been raped to death on her way to attend a night vigil at a Pentecostal Church in the area.
The discovery of the corpse which was found
almost naked near a welder’s workshop caused a large crowd to gather in the area. Some residents however expressed dismay and sadness, as they were afraid, because they believed police may begin massive arrest of innocent people in the area.
This is so unfair, may God destroy those who did this horrible act to this woman..

End SARS protest: Police deployed to Lekki toll gate [PHOTOS]

The Police have dispatched teams of operatives along the Lekki corridor ahead of Saturday’s End SARS protest at the toll gate. The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command confirmed the deployment. “CSP Yinka Egbeyemi is presently leading a team of police officers on a show of force to Lekki Toll Gate (Admiralty Plaza) Obalende, Ikoyi, Jakande Roundabout, and other areas in Eti Osa”, RRS tweeted Friday night. The Police department said this was “part of efforts to deter crime as well as boost the morale of his officers in the areas”. Two opposing camps – #OccupyLekkiTollGate and #DefendLagos – are planning separate protests on Saturday. This commenced after majority of the 9-member Lagos Panel of Inquiry approved the reopening of the toll plaza.
